KingKong Casino: what the app shows and how an ID works
KingKong is a smaller app casino with Gaming World slots, two fish rooms and a few older jackpot games. What its screens show, how the ID and top-up work, and what we could not verify.
KingKong Casino is one of the smaller app casinos that Malaysian agents have offered alongside 918Kiss and Mega888. Its logo is a snarling blue gorilla, and the app's login screen carries a small line at the bottom: "Powered by Gaming World". Most of the newer slots in the app carry the same Gaming World mark in the corner of the bet panel.
This site is an independent guide. We do not run KingKong, we do not sell credit, and we host no app files. What follows is based on the screenshots we have from the app and its old website, plus the usual way agent-run platforms work in Malaysia.
The website banner
The picture at the top comes from the platform's web page rather than the app. It shows the gorilla logo, a menu in Malay (Laman Utama, Permainan, Live Casino and Manual, meaning home, games, live casino and manual) and a login box, blurred here. The date under the login reads Thursday, 16 May 2019, so this is an old capture. The banner itself advertises Fish Hunter Yao Qian Shu, a fish-shooting game shown on a tablet.
The menu mentions a live casino section. We have no screenshots of it, so we say nothing about the tables or the dealers.
The games we have looked at
The game pages in the KingKong game list fall into four groups.
Gaming World video slots
These share one frame: a total bet box with minus and plus buttons, BALANCE and WIN boxes, a round green spin button, and AUTOPLAY and PAYTABLE buttons on the right. Each has its own paytable page with the scatter and wild rules written out. Most run 10 lines on five reels and three rows:
- Burning Pearl: a Chinese fortune theme with a dragon wild that fills a whole reel and 10 free spins.
- Bushido Blade: samurai art, a stacked symbol shown in a badge, and 8, 10 or 15 free spins.
- Empress Regnant: a Tang court theme with "2 Way Pay" and a respin feature.
- Horus Eye, Witch's Brew and Neptune Treasure: Egyptian, Halloween and undersea versions of the same layout.
Three break the pattern: Lightning God pays on 243 ways, Peach Banquet uses 20 lines and Tai Shang Lao Jun has four rows and 50 lines.
Older jackpot slots
A Night Out, Mamamia and Pan Jin Lian use a different, older frame. Three jackpot boxes labelled MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR sit above the reels, the line numbers run down both sides, and the bottom row holds INFO, AUTO PLAY, BET, MAX BET, GAMBLE and SPIN buttons. These screens carry no maker's mark, so we don't guess who built them. Pan Jin Lian and Mamamia both use 9 lines that pay left to right and right to left.
Fish rooms
Fish Haiba has a Chinese-only interface. Fish Hunter Monster Awaken is in English and has a help screen that explains the buttons. Both put your cannon at the bottom left and mark the other seats around the edge of the screen as waiting for players.
A classic fruit slot
Sizzling Hot Deluxe is a five-line fruit machine with sevens, cherries and a star scatter. It looks and plays quite differently from the rest of the lobby.
How an account works
You cannot sign up inside the app. The login screen has only a username field, a password field, a yellow LOGIN button, a Remember tick box and a language menu set to English. The username and password come from an agent.
In Malaysia the pattern is the same as on other platforms. You pay the agent in ringgit, the agent loads credit onto your ID, and when you want to cash out (cuci) you ask the agent, who pays you back by bank transfer. The app itself holds no bank details. That makes the agent the part that matters most: how fast they answer, whether they pay out in full, and what records they give you. Two small habits help. Untick Remember if anyone else uses your phone. And change the password the agent gave you if the app lets you, since the agent knows the original.
Installing the app
KingKong is not in Google Play. The Android version is an APK that you side-load, which means allowing installs from unknown sources for a moment. The screenshots and the safer way to do it are on the KingKong install notes page. The old page offered no working iPhone build and said iOS was not supported.
What we could not verify
We found no licence, no named operator and no payout percentages for any KingKong game. The line-up in our screenshots is several years old and may have changed. The old version of this page described King Kong Cash, a slot by another studio that has nothing to do with this app; we dropped it. Questions from the field
Who makes the KingKong games?
The app's login screen says Powered by Gaming World, and most of the newer slots carry a small Gaming World mark in the corner. We could not see a maker's name on the older jackpot slots or on the fish rooms, so we do not name one.
Is KingKong the same as the King Kong slot I have seen elsewhere?
No. The old version of this page described King Kong Cash, a slot from a different studio. That game does not appear in any KingKong app screenshot we have.
Does a KingKong ID work on other apps?
No. Each platform issues its own usernames. A KingKong ID only logs in to the KingKong app.
Is there an iPhone version?
The old page offered no working iPhone link and said iOS was not supported. We have not seen an iPhone build, so treat any offer of one with care.
